Experience
I graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's in print journalism. During that time, I've had the privilege of working with a number of students of varying skill levels and backgrounds. As a tutor, I've helped elementary students increase their overall understanding of classroom curriculum, in addition to helping high school students overcome their obstacles in English and mathematics. More recently, I've worked as a tutor at a community college where I taught writing skills. While I have the skills and experience to teach a wide range of subjects, English literature and composition are my favorite subjects to tutor. For me, there's nothing greater than being able to help someone learn how to eloquently express themselves through writing. As a tutor, I believe that it's important to help students overcome challenges by helping them understand the bigger picture. I know that sometimes learning new material can be overwhelming, so I like to break down larger concepts into more manageable chunks that students can digest at their own pace. Outside of teaching and writing, my other passion is traveling. I love spending time abroad and have visited a number of different countries, including Scotland, Nigeria, Spain, and Belize.
